An electronic melodies from Campobasso (Printer-friendly page)
experienced musician and composer, poet, drummer, songwriter and more, the Molise Catherine Anthony is back with a demo CD of electronic / new age very sweet, sentimental but never mawkish.
Four pieces of which the title track, wisely placed at the beginning, is a great business card, with romantic melodies and careful attention to sound. Catherine recalls the sound of the various Jarre, Vangelis, Kitaro, but attention - I might almost say the centrality - addressed melodic element makes the diskette "traditionalist", it is no coincidence that in the presentation notes, the author cites Gilbert Becaud . "Summer of Love" reveals even more complex elaboration of the theme. From these two songs show the love of Catherine for melody as Schlaks Stephen and Richard Clayderman.
"Chills" axis moves towards a refined and elegant guitar theme, "Dreaming" features the rhythmic element, reminiscent of Stax. Although nice, the disc also shows some gaps, for example in developing immediately melodies losing effectiveness and entering a dimension sometimes long-winded. A good first step, but expect an improvement.
