La ditta XYZ & W SpA ha avuto, nell'ultimo anno, una grossa diminuzione del fatturato. Viene commissionata un'indagine interna e si scopre che nel periodo c'è stato un drastico calo dei clienti: i tempi di evasione degli ordini, già tradizionalmente lunghi, si sono ulteriormente dilatati e il mercato si è rivolto alla concorrenza. Per rimediare, bisognerebbe organizzare il magazzino diversamente inserendo un software gestionale che attualmente non c'è, assumendo un operaio (e facendo lavorare di più un altro che batte la fiacca), acquistando un muletto (nemmen quello c'è...) e attuando altre due o tre piccole modifiche.
